- We teach the IKO way of teaching and after you reached a certain level a card of competence will be provided (+10€) - For us it is important to get you as quickly as possible on the water in the safest way. - The courses are given in groups of max. 4 persons (mostly 2). The reason is that you learn to help each other, and you also see and learn from the mistakes of the others. - The courses are normally held in English, but on request we can also teach in Dutch, or when available in Spanish, Italian or German. - The lessons are cancelled when: · -there's no wind (2 Bft or less) or if there's too much wind (6Bft or more), this for safety reasons. - You can pay cash in Euro, Dollars and Tshilling or creditcard (+5%). There a no ATM's, only in Stonetown!! - With gear rental; complete breaking the kite results in paying the full retail price (you buy the kite) !! or when the centre decide (with a big rip) you pay a fixt fee of 250€. All courses are booked for the specified dates and are non-transferable. No course booking is confirmed before payment, or reservation fee is received. The student may cancel the booking at any time up to 15 days prior to the course start date by either going on-line and changing the date of the course or calling Kite Centre Zanzibar to arrange a different date. The students Kite Centre Zanzibar account will then be credited with the amount due to them, minus an administrative charge of 25 Euro ( excl. transaction costs) Students should be punctual and available at each start of a session. Those who do not attend the sessions booked in for, will lose those sessions and this is non-refundable. Note that non-attendance of any part or parts of the course may render the next scheduled-in session unable to be carried out due to missed teaching of knowledge / skills. This will also be non-refundable. An opportunity may be provided to join missed sessions at the next available course, but this is provided there will be no disruption of this next available course and is at the absolute discretion of Kite Centre Zanzibar whose decision shall be final. Kite Centre Zanzibar will provide tuition and all the equipment required for the student to undertake the course. The student must accept that all courses are weather dependent and that this may adversely affect your course. If in the judgement of Kite Centre Zanzibar a course is unable to start due to the weather conditions, or because safety could be compromised for any reason, students will be offered a credit in respect of any days owed to them by Kite Centre Zanzibar. It is then the responsibility of the student to contact Kite Centre Zanzibar within 3 months to re-arrange its booking. No refunds will be paid. In the event of a course that has started being abandoned through changing weather conditions, students will be offered where possible the following: · On a course where 1 hour or more is lost, these hours will be offered on a future course, less than 0,5 hour of loss will not be refunded. · On a partly completed three-day (full)course (day and a half or less) an in-fill on the final day of a future course will be offered. If two days are completed a free training day session will be offered. Note: It is then the responsibility of the student to contact Kite Centre Zanzibar within 3 months to re-arrange its booking. All decisions regarding the running or cancellation of any course are at the absolute discretion of Kite Centre Zanzibar whose decision shall be final.
